ReadMail v0.-1 It works, though it's klunky. It may do terrible things. Most of the features are in, but some just barely. You must set two environment variables: set RMPATH= (your BBS path) set RMEDIT= (your editor name) CAVEATs: (missing/broken features) Reply improperly handles the to/from name biz incorrectly, somtimes. Enter simply lets you edit a copy of the existing file. In later versions it'll give you an empty message header, and leave the most-recent-msg as some filename on disk you can manipulate, if you want. Change simply lets you edit an existing file. It will always update PID, INTL, FMPT, TOPT, MSGID, the date. There is no way currently to ABANDON an edit. Workaround: damage the text file header. It will complain. If you blow an edit (damage a header...) there is no way to recover your edited text. Workaround: don't make mistakes. There is a size limitation (currently 20K) for reading/changing messages. This will increase. THere is no size limit for creating .MSG files from text files; ie. if you reply or create a new message, you can make it as large as your text editor will allow.
